Please can you tell us about APS Group?
APS Group was founded in 2001 and started with a 20,000 sq. ft warehouse and just a handful of staff. 25 years later, and it is the leading supplier of aluminium and PVCu products to the home improvement and construction industry in Ireland. With more than 65 employees, eight of which are from its original team, the business has managed to retain a strong family ethos by placing partnerships at the heart of its business operations.
When did your relationship with Swish start?
Our relationship with Swish goes back over 35 years, including the time before APS Group was established, when the team worked for Reynolds Systems. Swish supported us when we started APS Group, and that relationship has continued ever since.
What attracted you to Swish and its products?
The Swish name was a big attraction for us. It was the brand to have and had a very strong market share, which gave us confidence in the product range. Over the years, the quality of the products, support from the Swish team and the reliability of the supply chain have continued to strengthen the relationship.
Which Swish products do you stock?
We currently stock the full Swish roofline range, including fascias and soffits, cladding, window boards and trims. We are also set to begin stocking Kayflow rainwater systems in October, complementing the roofline range and further strengthening our relationship with Swish.
Are Swish products popular with your customers?
Yes! The products are extremely popular with our customers, not only for their quality but for their ability to integrate seamlessly with other products. This means we can provide a complete solution, and our customers can get everything they need from one trusted provider.
What has Swish support enabled you to achieve and will your working relationship continue?
Swish has provided the quality, support and reliable deliveries that are essential to our business. As we are based in Northern Ireland, the supply chain is particularly important to us, and Swish has consistently provided a fantastic service. We receive weekly deliveries and currently hold around £120,000 worth of stock, helping us to meet our customers’ needs in a timely and reliable manner.
The advice and support we have received from the team at Swish, through both the good times and the more challenging periods, has been crucial to our success. In addition to a hardworking, dedicated team, without good suppliers, we would not be where we are today. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with Swish and building our partnership for many more years to come.
