The Building Regulations apply to new buildings in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.They apply to extensions, alterations and
to buildings where there is a change of use. They contain essential
legislation and guidance for the building and construction
industry. The relevant sections are to do with fire retardance and
ventilation:
Section B - Fire Safety
Applicable to the spread of fire over surfaces and from one
building to another. Particularly relevant to cladding
installations. Swish Cellular PVC has a Class1 fire rating.
Section F - Ventilation
Applicable to the provision of adequate ventilation to the
roof void to prevent condensation. Relevant to roofline and
cladding installations.
