When Linden Homes transformed a disused Southampton scrapyard in an environmentally sensitive area into a development of attractive riverside apartments, it chose Swish PVC roofline products because of the company's commitment to 'green' manufacturing techniques and the sympathetic design of its products.Swish Jumbo fascia boards and GeePee soffits
were installed on the three buildings at Manor Quay, which comprise
a total of 61 two-bedroom apartments.
A spokesman for Linden Homes commented, "This part of the
River Itchen is officially classified as a site of special
scientific interest (SSSI) because of the important bird life. Once
we had cleared away the scrapyard it was vital that we transformed
the area into a place that is not only a lovely residential spot,
but also a haven for wildlife."
He continued, "We chose Swish Building Products because Swish
is committed to minimising environmental impact during manufacture,
and produces cost-effective, low-maintenance, durable
products."
"At Manor Quay we have incorporated many features, like the
Swish roofline, which make the properties attractive to the home
buyer on a practical, aesthetic and environmental level."
