Starter Trims
 Starter
trims C027, C028 and C029 all have flanges into which the starter
planks engage.(Figs 5,6&8)
 If a
horizontal starter batten is fitted 10 mm diameter holes should
then be drilled at 1m intervals through both the batten and trim to
facilitate drainage and ventilation.
 Where
ventilation is required the starter batten should
be omitted and the trim fixed to each vertical
batten, ideally at 400mm centres.
 On high
level cladding terminating above ground, the C027 starter trim may
be used to conceal the batten.
Vertical End and Corner Trims
 Trims
provide a neat, weathertight finish at perimeters
and
hide fixings and battens (Fig 9). They should be fixed
to
battens at all perimeters before planking is installed.
Single Part
Trims - Long planks are sufficiently flexible to allow
them to be snapped into position between single
part trims. (Fig 9,10,12)
Two
Part Trims - For short lengths, it is advisable to use
two-part trims. C290/291 can be used at ends (Fig11)
and C292/293 at external or internal corners
(Figs13/14).
Horizontal trims
 Horizontal
trims provide a neat finish to the top of planking, to exclude
weather and to form drips over openings or at the base of planking
eg. over windows and doors (Fig16).
 C290/291
two-part trim is useful where the top plank has been cut
to fit. Packings are necessary to maintain evenness of appearance
(Fig17)
